Description
Theodore A. “Dot” Babb (1852-1936) moved to Wise County, Texas with his family and was kidnapped by Comanche, along with his sister Bianca and a Mrs. Luster, in 1865. He was adopted by the Comanche and in 1867, he was ransomed and presented with this necklace as a memento of his time with the tribe. Babb became a rancher in Amarillo and published a book about his kidnapping and adopting in 1923.
